Vascular surgery encompasses the treatment of diseases of the blood
vessels in all areas but the heart. Artery problems of the lower
extremities include occlusions, or blockages within the arteries, and
aneurysm, or a ballooning of the artery caused by the weakening of the
arterial wall.
We routinely treat peripheral artery disease, occlusions and aneurysms
in the lower extremities and abdomen, cartoid artery problems and create
hemodialysis access for patients with kidney failure. We also treat
abnormalities of the veins such as varicose and spider veins, deep vein
thrombosis and chronic venous insufficiency.
